Music is always present in Calella throughout the year. Jazz, rock, sardana or choral singing are part of a vibrant cultural agenda that gives us concerts and festivals for all tastes. Jazz nights warm us the winter months and, when is comes the spring, the streets are filled with bands and orchestras from all over the world. The richness, diversity and intense of our musical life are an expression of the vitality which best characterizes the dna of the people of Calella.
For lovers of classical music, the city has its own lyric season. An essential event that puts on the scene a range of varied works and close to all types of audiences. From staged, symphonic works, corals to the traditional festival of Fiesta Mayor and the Christmas waltzes.
The City of Calella Lyric Season arrives every year with different musical proposals that bring us closer to the zarzuela classics, the opera and also new symphonic pieces. An opportunity to enjoy the best live music in emblematic places of Calella such as Dalmau Park, in the middle of nature surrounded by pines and oaks, or the historic Sala Mozart, in the heart of the city.
In July, the Lyric Season performance is included in the NEC program, on Friday 10 at 21.30 h at the Esola Pia courtyard, with a Lyrical Gala, a journey through the history of opera where the three leading voices will offer a recital with fragments of the best-known and most popular operas and operettas.
