Calella is a good point from which to undertake excursions. 

Both Barcelona and Girona are great to enjoy the excitement of the capitals and visit some monuments or museums in one afternoon. Returning to Calella, a good dinner and a walk by the sea make for a perfect ending.

Those who prefer to escape to nature have several options. The Montnegre forests are the perfect surrounding for us Calellenses who wish to go for a short walk. For the more adventurous in the northeast, there is the Montseny Massif, one of the most impressive natural areas of Catalonia.

Calella has neighbouring cities that are well worth a visit. The writer Roberto Bolaño lived in Blanes and the Fundación Palau is a benchmark of the life and work of Pablo Picasso in the world. To do a little exercise we go for a good walk along the coast to Sant Pol de Mar in the south and Pineda in the north.

Calella is the perfect place to settle.
