Festivals are one of the consequences of being good hosts: Who comes to Calella wants to repeat. Year after year they bring us new inspiration and influences that enrich the city and expands horizons. These are cultural events with a large social component. Thanks to international programming during each season, we have the chance to meet again with friends from all around the world. We hear their stories and they become infected with our cheerful spirit.
The eclecticism that characterizes the people of Calella is matched to the types of festivals that come to town. From the melodic choral singing, to jazz and rock and roll, the programming is as varied as the Calellenses themselves. This increase in the usual cultural offering, that places Calella on the international map, is a good reason to come for some and a pleasant surprise for others.

August open-air celebration
We live infused with the seduction of the Mediterranean that shapes our spirit. In August, at dawn, the water and breeze fill the air of the streets. It´s influence is now accentuated and during the night it lets us enjoy a kind of warm freshness. There is this wonderful atmosphere of a summer dream, preceded by long sunsets and more than usual street life that paints the city with contrasts.
