The NEC 20 Festival dedicates eleven summer nights to live music, with a wink to gastronomy

Calella will offer concerts every week from the end of June to August at the Lighthouse and in the courtyard of the Escola Pia

The City Council is committed to culture within the new normality that will come after the de-escalation plan. After celebrating the Festival Impuls, Calella will once again host a new edition of the Nits d'Estiu Calella festival (Calella Summer Nights)-NEC), with all the security measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

In total there are 11 performances spread over eleven summer nights to spend outdoors, enjoying the culture. The performances will take place in the most emblematic places of Calella such as the Lighthouse or the courtyard of the Escola Pia. Live performances will start in late June and will continue in July and August. This proposal will be completed with a gastronomic and wine cellar offer.

The NEC will feature performances by Marc Parrot who will open the festival on June 26, followed by María Muñoz, the Lyrical Gala for July 10, Miquel Abras, Gema 4, the cobla Montgrins, the Cambra Harmonia Orchestra, Ferran Palau, Marala, Cesc Freixas and Las Migas will close it.

Advance tickets can now be purchased through www.promocioartistesimusics.com and on Wednesdays, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the Sala Mozart box office. They can also be purchased the same day at the box office, two hours before the show, provided they have not been sold out.

To get to the Calella Lighthouse, there is a free public transport service that stops at the Tourist Office (N-II) from 7:30 p.m. and the use of a mask will be mandatory. In case of rain, the paid shows will be held in the Multipurpose Hall of the Llobet-Guri Factory.

    Preventive measures

In the celebration of the concerts, measures will be applied to avoid risks of contagion by coronavirus among the people attending. In this way, it is foreseen that the capacity is limited to 50% and the separation between the seats respects the necessary safety distances. Two passes of each concert will be held and all chairs and toilets will be disinfected between passes. Also at the entrance of the enclosure there will be a hydroalcoholic gel dispenser.
