The B-Travel show how is one of the most important meeting points of the tourism sector in the city of Barcelona and Catalonia.
From the 22nd to the 24th of March, the B-Travel Tourism Fair has been held once again at the Fira de Barcelona Montjuïc site and Calella has once again been present with a stand within the Diputació de Barcelona area under the brand "Costa Barcelona".
It is a fair aimed at the general públic, with the presence of a wide range of tourist destinations from around the world. The B-Travel Hall has consolidated itself as a benchmark for tourism experiences, with diferent routes dedicated to gastronomy, travel related to art, history and culture or sports tourism and adventure, among others, as well as performances musicals, dances and film projections.
The participation of Calella in this show has been aimed at promoting the offer of family tourism, sports tourism, culture and gastronomy, and with special attention to the segment of local tourism. Between May and October 2018, the Catalan market made a total of 35,788 overnight stays. With this figure, we must also take into account second home tourism and hikers who, despite not being included in the statistics, visit us all year round attracted by the great commercial, cultural, leisure and gastronomic offer in the city of Calella.
In this sense, the promotional strategy of Calella defined for this year prioritizes the attraction of the family tourist of proximity, an important market that the Tourism Area wants to reinforce with both face-to-face actions at fairs as B-Travel and with final actions aimed at potential visitor. Thus, Calella City Council collaborates with marketing campaigns such as the Hola Familia program of the Generalitat de Catalunya, celebrated last year in the month of April and programmed for June 7 to 9, 2019, with recreational and cultural activities to enjoy with the family throughout the country.
