The event, organized by BritMums, will bring together the biggest group of blogger mums specialized in social networks from United Kingdom. They also have a website, a magazine and a TV channel and they organized all kind of events focused in familiar audience.
Calella, as a familiar tourism destination, together with Malgrat de Mar, will participate in this event with the Diputació de Barcelona who will introduce the main actives of the territory for all those families that want to visit the coast of Barcelona. The event will take place in The Brewery Hall in London and it’s expected to have 1.000 visitors. With this action, Calella wants to strengthen its familiar tourism promotion in United Kingdom.
The event will start with a welcome cocktail on Friday 24th from 19 to 21.00 h, at the Holiday Inn Hotel in London, with the objective of introducing the bloggers and the other professionals participating in a more pleasant way. On Saturday 25th, there will be presentations and meeting and in the afternoon there will be the “Brilliance in blogging” awards ceremony.
The British tourism is an intensive Internet user (78% of trips are organized on-line and 62.5% are independent travels) and its main reasons to travel are fun, familiar tourism and sun and beach. Its average spending is 128€ per day. This season’s perspectives are optimistic thanks to the good economic situation in United Kingdom (5,8% unemployment rate and strength of the pound). Ahead of the summer holidays, there’s also an increasing of the extra trips (weekends, city-breaks, etc.).
The British market is the third most important in Calella and last year it represented 230.000 nights in hotel (+16,73% in relation to 2014).
