64% of establishments in Calella will be open between the 13^th and the 17^th of April, five more than last year. At this moment, the occupancy rate is close to 80% but it can reach 90% thanks to the last time bookings.

According to information given by the establishments, tourist from Spain, Catalonia, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Italy and Russia are going to visit Calella this Easter.

As usual, Easter is the starting point of the tourist season in Calella. Hotels, restaurants and shops open again after a few months of relax. Also Parc Dalmau’s Anti-Aircraft Refuge and Lighthouse Interpretation Centre can also be visited from this Easter until the end of the season*.

Good temperatures and proximity to Barcelona, priority for the tourists.

The proximity of Calella with Barcelona, as well as the good communications with the Catalan capital, makes our city one of the main destinations to those who want to know the charming of Barcelona but don’t want to sleep in the middle of the chaos that means a big city.

Sun and beach are the main products for visitors from all nationalities. The good forecast for Easter, reaching the 21ºC, also helps to further attract tourists.

Events and culture are an extra attractive for tourists and locals.

Calella has an intense cultural agenda during the whole year but at Easter it becomes an attraction for tourists and for the ones who live here as well. On Friday 14^th, Carpe Birrem, the festival of craft beer, starts and it will stay the whole weekend. For handball fans, also on Friday, at 9.00 h, starts the Tournament Master Cup Calella “Memorial Andrés Garcia”. On Friday and Sunday, the musical JesusChirst SuperStar comes back to Sala Mozart thanks to the association Teatre Solidari de Calella. Among other expositions, you can visit “Passos de Setmana Santa” (Holy Week processions), “Passio Christi” or the photographic expositions of Festimatge 2017. Moreover, this year Calella celebrates again, after forty years, the Easter Procession, which will take place on Friday 14^th at 20.30 h.
