This morning, four sports journalists visited the city of Calella for a presstrip organized by the Catalan Tourism Agency. The journalists, along with Mr. Antonio Li, director of the Center for Tourism Promotion of Catalonia in China, have enjoyed a walk through the sports facilities of the municipality.

Running has become the fashion sport in China. It has increased from 12 to 134 marathons organized a year. That is why this groups’ visit in Catalonia with the main objective to chronicle the Barcelona Marathon and sports in Catalonia. Thanks to the distinctive "Catalan Capital of Sport", awarded last November by the Catalan Foundation for Sport, Calella has been one of the municipalities selected to be part of the route.

The group visited this morning the City of Calella, where Mayor Montserrat Candini has received them to maintain an exchange of views on the sport. Likewise, journalists have been able to observe first-hand the sports facilities of the municipality: the Crol Center, the "La Muntanyeta" Sports Zone, the Sea Soccer Field and the Dalmau Park Pavilion.
