Calella bets one more time this 2017 in promoting in the Catalan proximity market. Even though the Catalan tourists are the ninth in the ranking of origin, on 2016, there has been triplet of overnight stays in Calella. With 84.014 overnight stays, the Catalan market represents the 4.58% over the total of overnight stays that took place in Calella last year (1.835.537).
According to the promotional strategy line that Calella is following this year, Calella participated at one of the most important travel fairs in Catalonia: the B-Travel Barcelona Fair. This last weekend, Calella assisted to the B-Travel, which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary and focus every year more in experiences tourism. On 2016, more than 30.000 people visited the fair that had 190 expositors from more than 50 countries.
Calella assisted to this fair with the main objective of seducing the proximity tourist offering the possibility to enjoy “Moments of Happiness” during the whole year. The visitors could find our destination sharing stand with other towns from Barcelona’s Coast in the area B-Happy. This area was for touristic offers like slow travel, romantic escapes, family and friends trips or wellness destinations.
